On November 3-5, 2020, a photo exhibition “the World through the eyes of Russian diplomats ‘wives” will be presented on the territory of VDNH as part of the 3rd international festival “By Hands of a woman”.
The wives of Russian diplomats dressed in national costumes will represent the countries participating in the photo exhibition. Japanese kimono, Indian Sari, Korean hanbok, costumes of Arab and African countries-festival visitors will be transported to different parts of the World.
At the exhibition, specially prepared easels display images taken in 43 countries from all corners of the globe, where the wives of Russian diplomats have visited or are currently in the service of their spouses. The organizers of the exhibition – The community of wives of Russian diplomats-did a great job. The works reflect the diversity of the natural world, the way of life of the peoples of different countries, their cultural and historical heritage. From the bright Australian beaches, the viewer is transported to the quiet Tokyo garden, and from the Turkmen Bazaar – to the Bolivian quaint mountains.
Diplomats and their families have a deep knowledge of the countries where they work, and this gives them the opportunity to notice details that escape the tourist’s eye, and not stop at “postcard” views. “The purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate the Grand scale of travel around the world for our husbands, to show the incredible beauty and identity of various countries “– says the author of the photo project” the World through the eyes of the wives of Russian diplomats ” Christina Nestoyanova.
The exhibition was successfully held at the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia, MGIMO-University of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia, Diplomatic Academy, Federation Council, RUDN and received positive responses.
